Tank-Safe

Tank-Safe is specifically designed for rail car use. It is non-fragmenting to comply with safety measures within arduous transportation conditions. Tank-Safe can withstand full vacuum.

As an alternative to rail car use, we also offer a holderless Tank-Safe design for applications where a rupture disc holder is not required. Depending on the process temperature, we can supply the holderless design with a gasket to allow for direct installation between industry-standard flanges.

Tank-Safe is available as either a flat or domed design (TSD/TSF). Both flat and domed discs are mounted directly below the relief valve on the container. The disc’s composite construction includes a slotted top section, a seal membrane and a vacuum support. Full bore relief is achievable on burst as the disc petals open fully.

Tank-Safe is available in a range of standard sizes (50mm, 65mm and 80mm), pressures (3.75 barg to 4.4 barg) and corrosion-resistant materials. Installing this bursting disc on a container helps meet the requirements of various international standards relating to the transportation of dangerous goods.
