Delivering technology you can trust

When your business is life-saving biopharmaceuticals, you need technology you can trust. People’s lives and health depend on your products, so you don’t want to compromise on the technology you use to manufacture them.

Oseco-Elfab’s biopharmaceutical pressure relief portfolio has been specially developed to meet the complex manufacturing requirements of the biopharmaceutical industry. Our bursting discs:

  • Meet industry requirements for cleanability, including SIP and CIP procedures.
  • Are compatible with standard sanitary (hygienic) fittings
  • Cover the full spectrum of pressure ranges in bioprocesses.

Our integrated disc-and-gasket solutions follow a unique construction that ensures full-face metal support across the ferrule platform. The bursting discs are extremely tolerant to pipe misalignment and eliminate leakage common with other gasket designs.

In addition, we also offer Pure-Gard, an innovative welded solution specifically designed for applications where cleanability is of paramount importance. Pure-Gard is installed independent of the gaskets, allowing you to change them as often as you need to without having to change the disc.

Sanitary burst detection

The high risk of contamination in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing process and the operational challenges that this complexity presents drives the need for equipment specifically designed for the unique environment.

Vent-Tel is our sanitary burst detection system that can be used alongside all our biopharmaceutical pressure relief solutions. Vent-Tel is non-invasive to the process to eliminate leak paths and false alarms due to pressure fluctuations. Should the disc activate, the sensor remains in place. It can be re-used, eliminating the need for costly re-wiring and generating long-term cost savings for you.

We also offer custom pressure relief products for specialised biopharmaceutical requirements. Please contact us for more details on our customised solutions.

Bioreactors

Bioprocesses normally require constant temperature. As biochemical reactions are often exothermic, most bioreactors need refrigeration. Should refrigeration fail, the heat generated could create unsafe operating conditions, requiring overpressure protection.

Common Applications

  • Bioreactors
  • Homogenisers
  • Chromatography Columns
  • Centrifuges
  • Autoclaves
