Description

Safe, reliable tool activation is crucial to successful drilling, completion and production in downhole oil and gas operations.

OsecoElfab’s Pressure Activation Devices (PAD) offer a high-integrity solution with superior leak-tightness, industry-leading burst tolerances and excellent corrosion resistance.

The PAD range includes several disc variations, each suitable for different burst pressure ranges and application requirements:

PAD1
For use in drill stem testing, downhole completion, circulating subs, hydraulic disconnects, tubing tester valves, casing protection, perforating and cementing. Designed for activation from annuls.

PAD2
For use in drill stem testing, downhole completion, circulating subs, hydraulic disconnects, tubing tester valves, casing protection, perforating and cementing. Designed for activation from within the tubing or drill string.

PAD3
For use in drill stem testing, downhole completion, circulating subs, hydraulic disconnects, tubing tester valves, casing protection, perforating and cementing. Designed for activation from within the tubing or drill string. Unlike PAD1 and PAD2, PAD3 can withstand back pressures of up to 70% of the set burst pressure.

PADM1
For use in drill stem testing, circulating subs, hydraulic disconnects, tubing tester valves, motorhead assembly, fishing tools and expansion packer retrieval. The design covers the standard 8mm (0.3”) motorhead port sizes.

PADM2
For use in drill stem testing, circulating subs, hydraulic disconnects, tubing tester valves, motorhead assembly, fishing tools and expansion packer retrieval. The design covers the standard 11mm (0.4”) motorhead port sizes.

All PAD devices are PED compliant, accredited to a number of industry standards and can be manufactured to ISO 4126 or ASME VIII dependent on customers’ requirements. Standard materials of construction are a 316L Stainless Steel body with an Inconel 600 disc, with other materials are available on request.

Each rupture disc is manufactured using our in-house electron-beam welding capability to ensure a high-precision performance you can rely on.
